CSD Filling Line Guide
Everything you need to know about carbonated soft drink filling lines and equipment.
What Makes CSD Filling Different
Carbonated beverage filling requires special isobaric counter-pressure technology to maintain CO2 levels during filling. This makes CSD lines more complex and typically more expensive than water lines.
Key Equipment
- Water Treatment + Carbonation — Carbonator mixes CO2 with water
- Bottle Rinser — Essential for PET bottle cleaning
- Isobaric Filler — Counter-pressure system for CO2 preservation
- Capper — Ensures airtight seal to retain carbonation
- Labeler + Packer — Final packaging for distribution
Capacity Guide
CSD lines typically start at 2,000 BPH for craft soda operations and go up to 30,000+ BPH for large-scale production. PET bottles are most common, but cans are also widely used.
