Juice Filling Line Guide
A comprehensive guide to selecting the right juice and soft drink filling equipment.
Understanding Juice Filling Technology
Juice filling is more complex than water due to viscosity, pulp content, and preservation requirements. Most juice lines use hot-fill technology (85-95°C) for shelf stability, or aseptic filling for premium products.
Types of Juice Filling Machines
- Hot Fill — Heats juice to sterilize, fills hot, then cools
- Aseptic Fill — Sterile environment, preserves flavor better
- Piston Fill — Best for pulpy juices and nectars
- Gravity Fill — Suitable for thin juices with low pulp
Bottle Formats
Juice is commonly filled in PET bottles (200ml-2L), glass bottles, or carton packs. Hot-fill requires heat-resistant PET or glass bottles.
